EQAO stands for Education Quality Accountability Office. They assess how well public schools in Ontario are teaching reading, writing and math to public school students. EQAO is an important tool for improvements in planning at the student, school, school board and provincial levels.
EQAO testing is completed in grades 3, 6 and 9 in publicly funded schools across the Province. Testing usually takes place in late may to early June and all students in those grades are required to take the testing.
For details about what topics are being tested, review some frequently asked questions or please review the EQAO website.
